More San Diego Pictures

A lot of people have asked me, since I returned to Guam, “How was your vacation?” My answer each time has been, pretty much, “We got to spend a lot of time with family, relaxing and just enjoying being together. To me that is the best way to spend a vacation. We did get to do a few interesting things too. So here are a few more pictures….

Joyce got in some good time with her granddaughters

All the family got dessert from the ice cream truck

Even Keiahni got some ice cream.

We went to church with Matt on Sunday. While Matt practiced with the worship band before the service, we swung with Milo in the play yard.

More Vacation Pictures

SAMSUNG SAMSUNG Here is another post about our vacation. (I have been pretty busy since we got back to Guam but will try to get these up on line today). On Monday the 6th our daughter Missy and her family arrived in San Diego so we had all the stateside family together. It was fun to see the three cousins together. The only thing that would have made it better would have been having Mike’s family there with us. On the left Joyce and Missy are pushing Milo and Leila on the swings. On the right Joyce and Leila are getting reacquainted. That seemed to happen pretty fast.

The first thing we did after they arrived was take a walk to the neighborhood park.

We played a little soccer and Leila picked lemons in the backyard.

Trip to Lego Land San Diego

I am back on Guam and getting ready for my Old Testament Survey class that begins on Monday night. But before I begin posting about the new semester at PIU, here are a few more pictures of our vacation time in San Diego. Last week we headed over to Lego Land to spend the day with Matt, Kristin, Milo and Keiahni. We took many, many pictures so here are a few of them. Warning: Cute grandkids ahead…

You can see Milo on the left sticking his head up in the bubble at the Lego Land Aquarium. Ahni is enjoying playing with Legos in the playground.

I got to pose with Lego Santa Claus and with Milo on a ride that is designed to make you feel like you just went through a washing machine.

Milo enjoys piloting his own airplane

We enjoyed looking at the Lego displays. It is amazing what one can make from those things.

It was nice to spend a day in the park with Matt’s family.

The kids wanted to pose with the Star Wars figures… and grandma (Darth Blondie).

I think the kids had a fun day with grandma and grandpa.

Christmas Tree Burning 2014

One of our family traditions (we don’t do it every year, but we have done it enough to make it a family tradition) is the burning of the Christmas Tree as our first act of the year in 2014. Here is a post from 2012, one from 2011, and one from 2009. This year’s tree burning was one of the more spectacular ones.

Working Hard at Playing in San Diego

SAMSUNG SAMSUNG We arrived in San Diego on Saturday night the 28th and have been enjoying time with Matt, Kristin and the kids since then. We have gone a few places but most of the time we are just hanging around with the kids. Joyce seems to be getting better and better. She hardly coughs at all now. Keiahni talks all the time and is so much bigger than last time we saw her. I have tried several time to get a video of her constant chatter but she goes quiet as soon as the video camera is pointed at her. Here are a few pictures of our time in San Diego so far. Yes, Joyce is having a great time playing with the kids’ toys.

We have played a lot of soccer with the new goals and ball Milo got for Christmas. He always has to be Chelsea. He wore me out and he always wins.
