Saturday the Equipped to Teach Conference was held in the PIU classroom. The theme was “Stories that Teach, Stories that Heal.” Marriage and Family Therapist Jo Romaniello led the morning session which focused on narrative therapy. For the afternoon session, Maria Keckler Skyped in and taught us about how to use journaling to better hear the voice of God in our lives. Lisa Collins, our librarian, was our MC for the day. Both sessions were excellent and I felt like I learned a lot of valuable information. It was also fun to get to know some new people from the church community.
