PIU Student Wins Soroptimist Scholarship

 

Congratulations to Grace Neth on winning the 2013 Soroptimist International Club Marianas college opportunity scholarship. Grace was invited to give a speech, along with the other winners, at the annual Soroptimist dinner at the Sheraton Hotel last Friday night. I was able to attend the dinner with several other PIU people and got to see Grace do a great job representing her family, PIU and the Lord. Congratulations Grace! I pray that the dreams that God has given you will be fulfilled.

The PIU team was there to support Grace, from left Celia Atoigue, Daisy Murdock, Grace, Karyn Sorenson, Me, Nino Pate. On the right Grace and Karyn smile for the camera. Karyn is at PIU teaching the classroom portion of her counseling class, counseling students and staff and preparing for seminars in Palau and Yap.

Grace received a $1000 scholarship from the Soroptimists and we thank them for their participation in her education efforts.
