Tuesday’s chapel at PIU was led by Paul Drake, the PIU librarian. Paul has been part of our faculty for seven months and has been a real blessing to the school. He shared with us about his life journey with God, especially focusing on his time in seminary in Canada. You can see the map of Canada on the television in the picture. It is always encouraging to hear how God has worked in someone’s life to bring them to the ministries they are involved in today. Paul requested that our song service include “To God Be the Glory” to recognize that involvement in his life.
Next week is National Library Week. Paul, and the library staff, have planned several on-campus activities. He invited all of the staff and students to the activities. The public is also invited on Saturday April 18, 1-2pm in Classroom 1, to see Simeon Manibusan Palomo, Guam naturalist artist and author of Tropical Art, Guam present a program to discuss his book and demonstrate the craft of turning local plants into works of art.
Paul has been working hard to increase the usefulness and quality of our library. He are some links you can check out to see what is happening in the PIU Library.
