Last Sunday (yes I am over a week behind on these posts now) VOM presented in both Sunday services at Gateway Bible Church and then did an outdoor presentation for a church BBQ. This was a very significant event for Joyce and I as Gateway was the church I grew up in (back then it was 1st Baptist Scotts Valley) and it was the church that originally laid hands on us to send us out to Palau in 1984 as Liebenzell USA missionaries. I was so thankful that after 26 years we could bring back a group of our students to minister to the people at Gateway and that we could give them a little glimpse of what their long-term investment in the Kingdom of God had produced. It was also great to see Pastor Culwell, who baptized me at age 9, and classmates Janet Culwell and Dan Croghan along with many other old Scotts Valley friends.

The quartet sounded great again.
The day before we enjoyed a relaxing BBQ at the house of Jo Romaniello. She spent 5 weeks with us on Guam last semester as a volunteer.
