One of the most strategic and important ministries that I am involved in on Guam is the Guam Ministerial Association. This is a group of pastors, missionaries and other ministers from the various evangelical churches and ministries on Guam. We get together once a month for a business and fellowship meeting and, what is real influence of this group, once a week to pray for the islands of Guam and Micronesia. I have been a member of this group since we arrived in 1993 and have been an officer several times during that period. I think it is of critical importance for Christian ministers to have close relationships with Godly people outside their own ministries and to spend significant time with people outside their own denominations or traditions. These have been the guys who God used mightily to get us through the difficult times and provided much needed support and fellowship. I would urge church leaders on Guam to join us. You need the fellowship. I believe that God will not reach the people of the islands through one group or denomination. These islands will be discipled for Christ when the churches of the islands work together in the unity commanded by Christ to fulfill the Great Commission.
Over the years, I have had so many good friends, who have made impact on my life, in this group. They have been a real blessing to me and to all the ministries I have been associated with.
