This morning we, Joyce, Missy, Leila and I drove down to Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz for “cancer camp” at Mission Springs. The camp starts tomorrow (Friday) but we wanted to drive down a day early so that I could rest a bit before we began camp activities, but also so we could spend some time introducing Missy and Leila to my home town. Thank you to the Kvamme’s for again providing us with a place to stay tonight in Scotts Valley. We enjoyed spending some time on the Santa Cruz wharf and getting some ice cream at Marianne’s. Leila enjoyed seeing the seals and ocean birds.
We enjoyed our lunch at the Firefish Grill. At least once in your life you need to eat seafood out over the water.
We had dessert at Marianne’s Ice Cream. I remember my parents taking me there when I was about five years old. Leila got to experience bubblegum ice cream for the first time. We are hoping to see a few more places tomorrow before we head to camp at 3PM.
