Thursday the PIU family celebrated Thanksgiving Day by joining together for a time of worship through eating and laughing. We spent some time sharing together God’s blessing and continued over 4000 years of a tradition (you didn’t really think Americans invented thanksgiving days did you?) of setting aside a day to celebrate God’s provision for His people. Here are a few pictures of our celebration.
We did a little singing. Then everyone wrote their blessings on a paper leaf and a representative from each table read them. We then hung the leaves on the tree as a visible reminder of how much we have been blessed.
There was plenty of food. I thought the red-hot cinnamon jello was especially delicious.
The food was excellent and well-enjoyed
It was a very happy Thanksgiving Day
