I am still working through our Christmas vacation photos. Almost done. Our family was with us through January 3rd and we tried to cram in as many activities as we could. 
We like to go to the public beach on New Year’s Eve because there are usually not too many people there. So we made a trip down to Ipao Beach. Then we headed home and prepared for our traditional game night and tree burning. We burned the tree a little before midnight to avoid being hit by the falling bullets our neighbors were shooting into the air. (Not so many as previous years)
We found some mermaids on the shore
We took the decorations off the tree and prepared to burn it
It burned spectacularly
And was enjoyed by all
Afterwards grandma read a bedtime story to the kids
