Last Thursday we enjoyed our annual PIU family Thanksgiving Day celebration. Joyce organized another very successful (everyone got full and had leftovers, there was a lot of laughter and smiling) Thanksgiving day gathering. I gave a short talk on a biblical theology of feasting in the Bible (with jokes) and Jesse led some music. Then we got down to some serious eating. After the dinner, while most of us closed our eyes and napped, Joyce led a group of students on a hike to Pagat Cave. We are thankful that God is a God of blessing who enjoys to see his people feasting in thankfulness for his provision.
Jonie, Joyce, Daisy and Michael checked out the food and pronounced it good
Everyone lined up in anticipation of an abundance of food
And no one was disappointed – Celia’s ham was excellent as usual
Eating and conversation followed

Everyone was smiling after dinner including students and daughters and grand-daughters of our PIU faculty and staff
Then they headed out on a hike to Pagat Cave
Swimming in the cool water in the dark cave is an interesting experience
The hike is not too difficult – on a dry day
