Our 2nd day in Hong Kong was my favorite. We went up the mountain in a cable car gondola (my favorite activity on this trip), rode the high speed subway train, climbed the stairs to see the giant Buddha statue, walked through the outlet mall, and ate some pretty amazing Cantonese food for lunch. All this and got back in time for our afternoon organizational meeting for our TRACS team and introductory dinner with the Bethel Bible Seminary administration in our hotel. I was exhausted, but happy, by the end of the day.
Tanmay and I prepare to board the cable car – looking down between our feet through the “crystal” floor of the cable car gondola to the ocean below.
We had an amazing view of the city
Up on the top of the mountain
An excellent lunch which contributed to me being a “big Buddha”
And then up the stairs to the statue.
We made it to the top
It is hard to get an idea of just how big this statue is from a picture.
Back at the bottom of the hill we went to the outlet mall. By this time Peter Kang and I were worn out
A little rest in the hotel room and a change of clothes and the TRACS team was ready for business
