For many of our PIU students, Christian higher education would be out of reach financially without partners that provide scholarship money. One of these partners over the past few years has been Indwelling Ministries of Guam. They are a local ministry that provides marriage, parenting and financial training and counseling from a Christian perspective here on island. They also provide local students with scholarships to attend local universities, one of which is PIU. We are thankful for their help to our students. Yesterday we attended the scholarship award dinner, which was part of our monthly Guam Ministerial meeting. It was a good time of fellowship. Many “thank you’s” to our friend Thad Jones and Indwelling Ministries.
This year our PIU recipients of the Indwelling Scholarship were Celia Atoigue and Jordan Darrow. Left, Celia with several of her family members receives her scholarship check. Celia is not only a student at PIU but she has also been our operations manager since 2009. Jordan could not attend the dinner because he is with his family in Palau for the summer, so Joyce and I received the check for him. Jordan, your scholarship is waiting for you when you return for the Fall semester! Congratulations to Celia and Jordan. Well Done!
