Readers’ Theater Chapel

One of the things we try to teach our students at PIU is that there are different ways to give out the Gospel message that allow the students’ natural creativity to work itself out. One of the ways we do this is through modeling in chapel. Sometimes we just have to break out of the prayer, 3 songs, sermon and announcements liturgy. Yesterday, Jamie Mason led a chapel that did just that. The 4 readers explored the concept of faith through dramatic reading of scriptures in Romans, Hebrews and James. This was followed by several staff and faculty members giving testimony of what “faith” meant to them. It was an excellent chapel and I was blessed.

The reader/actors (Olin, Jody, Zaloma and Meli) did a great job

The chapel audience enjoyed it. On the right the director, readers and musicians take a bow
