The National Day of Prayer Begins on Guam

Last night the island of Guam, “Where America’s Day Begins,” kicked off the national Day of Prayer. The event was organized by the Guam Ministerial Association and was well attended by a good cross-section of the churches of Guam. After a time of worship we joined together in prayer as seven pastors led us in prayer for the government, business, media, military, education, churches and families of Guam and of the USA. Pastor Albert Alquero, president of the GMA, closed the evening with a corporate candlelight prayer.

I tried to take a couple pictures from the stage. It is a wonderful thing when we see God’s people come together in unity and concern for the community around them.
