As I have mentioned before on this blog, A big part of being a missionary is welcoming people at the airport (which we enjoy) and saying good bye to people as they leave (which we don’t like so much). This goodbye was particularly hard. Mike and Samantha have been with us for almost six years at PIU and we have been able to be very close to the 4 grandkids who have all grown up out here on Guam. We know though, that this is God’s leading for Mike, Sam and the kids, it will be very important for the school to have Mike back as a PhD, and will be a good experience for them. We are looking forward to having them back in about 3 years. So a few more grandkid pictures while I have the chance.
It takes a lot of people to get them checked in
Some pictures from the check in line
Three more from the check in line
Now we head up to the TSA line
A picture with the Knapp family and some conversation in the TSA line
And they went through TSA and headed to the gate for their flight
