Over the last week I have been in Palau for the May Deacon’s Conference and for some other PIU business. This is why you have not seen me on line very much. Internet access is one of our biggest challenges in running the teaching facility in Palau. We have it, but it is inconsistent. While in Palau I stayed with Steve and Anne Stinnette and enjoyed the time with them. I also got to meet with some of our PIU alumni in Palau. I’ll make couple posts here about the trip. Above is a picture of the Emmaus campus, where we used to live 1984-88, taken from the Stinnette’s porch. We saw some spectacular sunsets (pictures to come)! On the left we are playing dominoes with Anne and Steve, LMI missionaries Christian and Johanna, and some Papuan students. Mac Alfonso took the picture. On the right is PIU teaching facility employee Shamira.
Shamira and I went up to Bethania on Thursday to speak with 10 members of the senior class who are interested in coming to PIU. We had a great time talking with them about the school. They had a lot of questions.
