- God’s laws are essentially instruction about who God is and how we can properly fulfill our role as the image of God in creation
- They are built on relationship and the foundation of God’s character and God’s past actions
- They show us how to love God with all our being within a covenant relationship
- They show us how to live with and serve God’s creation as God’s image
