This past week we welcomed a team from Wycliffe Associates to PIU. The team is here for most of the month of July to do several projects on the PIU campus, including enlarging the kitchen in the women’s dorm (pictured) and putting a new roof on the maintenance shop. The day after the team arrived Joyce and I took some of them down to Chamorro Village to enjoy some Guam culture, especially some Guam barbecue Fiesta Plates. We are very thankful they are here to do some much needed work on the campus. We are also thankful for the partnership with two different Wycliffe groups that work throughout the Pacific Islands and Indonesia. It is a privilege to have a part in training the workers who will translate the Bible into so many new languages and it is exciting to come into the office and see translation work already happening there. (Sorry about the blurry pictures).
Joyce enjoys lunch with the team. They cook and eat in the seminary classroom which is right behind my office.
