Spring Semester Student Project: Genesis 45 1 15

I thought you might be interested in seeing the kind of thing that PIU students are doing in our classes. Our mission is to produce graduates who go out into the community to teach and live out a biblical worldview. A big part of this is our Biblical Studies curriculum, which especially is focused on training teachers and leaders for the churches in our region. This semester I taught Exegesis in Genesis, one of the 4th year capstone courses in the Bible program. The final project was to take one of the sections of the story of "Joseph and His Brothers," work through the entire exegetical process and conclude it by recording themselves preaching a 15 minute sermon on the passage. This video was an “A” project from Jeehbeneth Szafranek. She worked through Genesis 45.1-15, the story of the reconciliation of Joseph and his brothers. She was a little nervous for her first sermon, but she did a great job, and I think her sermon will benefit the listener.  I am looking forward to having her, and hopefully several others, in Advanced Hermeneutics in the Fall.
